Dr. J.P. Ansay: "It's a fantastic transitional denture for patients making the adjustment to a full denture without problems of stability or retention. Patients say they eat things they haven't been able to eat for years."
Dr. R.J. Gass: "My patients are tickled pink with Cu-SilŪ. Many have had partials with clasps before, but this is more comfortable, and easier on the teeth. Patients don't seem to have too much trouble keeping it clean. The whole thing helps support the teeth and prolongs the life of the teeth rather than having clasps. Cases that are 4-6 years old have been working out real well, still in excellent shape. I couldn't sell these patients anything else."
Dr. G.A. Zall: "Cases I have selected for Cu-SilŪ have been very successful, and have lived up to all expectations. I find that this appliance has been very satisfactory and is readily accepted by patients. It's particularly comforting when you have clasps. You get a snug fit, and overall performance is good. In cases where there has been periodontal breakdown, I've saved some teeth that were planned for extraction, with great success with patients still wearing the Cu-SilŪ appliance several years later."
Dr. R.I. Lewis: "As one of the first Dr.s to use Cu-SilŪ, I find that it's been a big help in saving teeth where patients couldn't take clasps any longer, or where there were only 2-3 teeth left. In some cases the ridge is such that patients haven't been able to eat properly, complaining of a sore ridge. Cu-SilŪ combined with your soft liner has been a big help. Currently I'm removing a bridge and retaining a single cusped for an immediate type Cu-SilŪ. People hate to lose a tooth."
Dr. W.J. Harder: "I've made 40-50 Cu-SilŪ dentures in the past 7-8 years and haven't had one unsuccessful case so far. Appearance is a big thing. Also people want their money's worth. Cu-SilŪ cost isn't so much and you can get more wear and don't waste money if you have to add a tooth later. Cu-SilŪ hugs like rubberized socks, and people like them. I've had a lot of referrals, both from patients and other Drs."
Dr. W.R. Young: "The Cu-SilŪ technique has been a great help to me and my patients during the last six years. I'm sold on it."
Dr. Neubauer: "I've done about 100 Cu-SilŪ cases in the last 8 years and am very happy with the results, as are the patients who get to keep their teeth. Can also do immediate partials."
Dr. Sullivan: "Cu-SilŪ is very useful for many types of cases, especially for six lower anteriors where the conventional frame does not provide retention. Nothing else seems to fill the bill like Cu-SilŪ partials without sending them back to the lab."
